This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of :Crosstown Traffic (song), and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.songfacts.com/detail.php?id=5051. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Indeed, the song was not written by Prince, however it was a single from 1996. Perhaps there should be 2 separate entries for the song. I believe Prince slightly changed the title for his version so why not create an article with the original title?

Per WP:SONGS, articles are about SONGS, not SINGLES... therefore the two versions should be combined onto one page, which I have done. See any of the song articles within Wikipedia with a cover version, they are all within the same article. I've reverted a bunch of your wikilinks as well. - eo 16:18, 6 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
