RE: Peta Talk

While I agree that the statement is in violation of WP:Talk, another poster asked for references (often a way to shut down the accuser), and it does not fall under the "unacceptable" category. Because of that, and that I don't think talk should be removed ever (but rather repremanded and eventually archived), I re-added your removal. Talk pages have much more leeway than the article, and I think if even an obvious statement like "Peta is evil" still stimulates discussion. Bytebear (talk) 00:25, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I see your point, and I agree that if it gets out of hand, it should be stopped, but I also think when someone responds asking for more information, or when the conversation can move toward a more constructive discussion, it should stay. The fact is, many people do think Peta is evil, and that should be explored. Bytebear (talk) 00:41, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I guess I'm naive and think that the POV stuff is posted as serious. Thanks for dealing with it.Bob98133 (talk) 00:59, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re.

I was just getting it changed to Sephiroth lol. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 2L84UBB (talkcontribs) 02:36, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well, now you made me change my mind. Thanks, man! :D Asta Lavista, Baby! 02:38, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I like this name now. :) Asta Lavista, Baby! 02:50, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Notable bio?

Noticed you used to be an ordained minister. I look at peoples user pages to try and figure out how to best fix mine up. Anyhow, when I read about the being an ex minister I thought I might get you to take a look at Arnold Murray. It's a bio of a televangelist but all of the references seem to rely on religious websites. Not exactly what I'd call reliable sources. The person working on this page has been putting an awful lot of work into it. I've tagged it with a notability needed template but was thinking if I should AfD it or not? Probably sources out there but I was unsuccessful using Google News. The article was AfD previous and result was delete. Think this is a vastly different version though. I did request on the articles talk page that reliable sources be found. Sting au Buzz Me... 04:55, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Template

I'll make one for venom, but honestly, I enjoy Immortal more than venom. Also, please remember to sign your comments.Metal Head (talk) 06:16, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

immature comment

Hello I find your comment on the discussion "List of Roundabouts in Billings, Montana" unprofessional and immature!!!

--Wolfdog1 (talk) 09:18, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The "Oh man, I really should get around to writing list of transsexual graphic artists living in the closet, list of men with dyed red beards, List of boats in Anchorage... zzz!" is uncalled for for a comment. It insults me, my town and my state. So if can't be professional, then just don't say anything at all!!!!

--Wolfdog1 (talk) 09:24, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

OK then...

are these silly too?!

AfDs

Thanks for the compliment. I guess after participating in so many AfDs you develop a style. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters(Broken clamshellsOtter chirps) 23:53, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Some stubs to look at for AfD

I fixed it. I forgot that I had copied the immortal records.Metal Head (talk) 02:12, 25 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Template requests

I have added a place on my talk page for people who want to suggest templates for me to make. If you have any friends on wiki, tell them about it. It should keep my busy. (no crappy bands though)Metal Head (talk) 02:44, 25 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

B.A.D

I think I gave enough information t discredit the sites given for B.A.D. Take a look on the deletion page.Metal Head (talk) 02:58, 25 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Work

Yeah, I only put a few on there. The school won't get deleted. I can already say that. The boat one won't get deleted either.Metal Head (talk) 03:09, 25 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

B.A.D AfD

Hi, I was just wondering if you wouldn't mind wandering over there and taking a second glance at the updated AfD. Pandacomics (talk) 05:52, 25 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Golden Melody Awards aren't notable except for the fact they're issued by the Government Information Office. The Global Chinese Music Awards are given annually by a group of seven radio stations: 988 (Malaysia), Beijing Music Radio, Hit FM, Music FM Radio Guangdong, RTHK, Shanghai Radio 101.7 FM, and Y.E.S. 933 FM. [1]. RTHK is a major radio station in Hong Kong. YES 93.3 FM is the government-owned radio station in Singapore. Referring to Wikipedia:WikiProject Countering systemic bias, "Similarly, systemic bias may cause articles of local interest to places (from where few Wikipedians come), to be nominated for deletion for lacking notability, because they are obscure to the majority of Northern Hemisphere Anglophone editors." Sound familiar? Pandacomics (talk) 06:02, 25 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, would you look at that, WP:MUSIC says that it counts as notable if the artist:

  • 2. Has had a charted hit on any national music chart.

Adminship

I've been nominated for adminship. I don't know if you can, but if you can drop a good word for me. It would be appreciated.Metal Head (talk) 07:29, 25 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, can I respectfully request that you go back to the above RfA and read my comment to you. I don't really understand your neutral and I'm not sure you'll really looked at the candidates contributions at all. Ryan Postlethwaite 16:28, 25 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AfDs

OK I'm probably a bit dense, but I'm still somewhat new to the world of AfD so I'm not sure exactly what you're asking. Do you mean when I'm nominating something to say [[article x]] should be deleted because of...? I'm happy to do what you're asking to make life easier, but I'm not sure I understand you perfectly. Travellingcari (talk) 03:55, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

gotcha now, I'll try my best to remember to do so as it seems a perfectly logical request. Travellingcari (talk) 04:05, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Adoption

Lord knows I'm not necessarily the best person to do this sort of thing, and I want you to know that I haven't adopted anyone before, so I may not be the right person to contact, but I could at least try to help you out as requested. I may make mistakes myself, but I can at least contact those who know about some things more than myself. John Carter (talk) 22:16, 30 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ahmed El Esseily (2nd nomination)

I fixed it for you; see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ahmed El Esseily (2nd nomination (oops, forgot a parenthesis). Seeing as you participate in AfD a lot, I would recommend installing Twinkle; it makes listing AfDs much easier. Request reason:

What I was referring to when I said "15 year old" girls was "Prussian Blue" as he was a fan, I was recommending that he go and listen to them

Decline reason:

I've checked your contribs to the IP's talk and they were all completely out of order, "Yeah if you're some trailer-trash loser with paedophilic proclivities, sure." - that isn't how we work here. — Ryan Postlethwaite 04:56, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
