== Just spent 12 days in hospital until diagnosis ==

My symptom was temperature went up to 104.5 degrees farenheit. The first trip to ER showed a problem in the lung and was diagnosis with pneumonia and sent home after 8 hours with an antibiotic. The next day, Sunday of course, temp was still high and went back in. CAT scan on Monday showed nodules in the lungs. Took all kinds of tests and all negative. Did a procedure with a tube down into the lung which took samples. One of the samples had to be sent out to the Mayo clinic and came back over a week later with a pattern with a strong pointer to histoplasmosis. After the second trip to the ER, the total hospital stay was 11 days. I had excellent infectious disease and lung doctors. Am now taking itraconzole and getting better. Will return in 6 weeks for a follow up CAT scan.

I bring this up because for me, it was extremely difficult to detect. I am 64 year old male. Don Utter[[User:Don Utter|Don Utter]] 17:27, 23 June 2007 (UTC)

Plagiarism

This article is pretty much a word-for-word copy and paste of the WebMD article: [1]Jasont82 17:14, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the heads-up. The only part of this article I could find that matched any part of the WebMD version was the Symptom section. Am I missing something or was that what you were referring to? I've revised the relevant section (and added a ref). -- MarcoTolo 17:37, 27 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The Incidence and Transmission sections are also copied from the WebMD article with minor changes. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jasont82 21:50, 28 July 2007 (UTC) (talkcontribs) 11:45, 28 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I've pulled both sections for now as potential copyvios (not that I don't believe you, 206.246.142.100, just that WebMD is giving me timeouts and I can't check it myself to fix the problems). -- MarcoTolo 14:41, 28 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
