WNYE-TV is the TV station of the New York City Board of Education, with studios in Downtown Brooklyn. Its transmitter is located at the top of the Empire State Building. The station itself is run by the NYC Media Group in conjunction with the Board of Education.
Owned and operated by the New York City Board of Education, WNYE airs a mix of educational programs, PBS programs, brokered ethnic programing, the monthly New York City Transit Authority news program, and a prime time line up of shows produced by the NYCTV cable television channel.
