Film synopsis
Second Skin is a feature length documentary film that follows the lives of seven people as they delve in to the world of MMORPGs (Massively Mulitplayer Online Role Playing Games). The film intertwines expert opinions and personal accounts of people involved in games such as World of Warcraft, Second Life and EverQuest. The characters come of age, fall in love, hit rock bottom and rise to the top, and they are only seven of the millions of people who daily log onto an MMORPG. Directed by Juan Carlos Pineiro Escoriaza, Produced by Victor Pineiro Escoriaza and Peter Brauer.
Festivals
On February 5, 2008 the participants in the South By Southwest film festival were announced in Variety. Second Skin will be showcased as a Spotlight Premiere along other films such as Run, Fat Boy, Run, Shine a Light (film) and Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay.
