---|
Fairly OddBaby is a made-for-television "movie" for the Fairly OddParents series. It aired on February 18, 2008, beginning the seventh season.
Plot
Timmy begins to notice that Cosmo and Wanda get distracted whenever they are anywhere near a baby, and when he asks why they do not have a child of their very own, they get depressed. So Timmy decides to wish that Cosmo and Wanda would have a baby of their own; something that has not occurred in thousands of years. Once the word is out about the new fairy baby, the Pixies and Anti-Fairies team up to capture and harness the baby's unlimited magical energy to destroy Fairy World and the Earth. So Jorgen, Timmy, Cosmo and Wanda travel to Anti-Fairy World to ruin the Anti-Fairies and Pixie's plan, and save Cosmo and Wanda's little baby boy, Poof.
Cultural references
- When Cosmo eats Timmy's baseball cards, he comments that Darryl Strawberry does not taste like strawberry.
- When Jorgen is searching "Da Rules" book for the "You can't wish for a baby!" rule, another rule he mentions is the "No Tom Cruise!" rule.
- Jorgen von Strangle took the decoy baby and named him Napoleon and then put the trademark bicorne hat on its head.
- Several references to Rio and the band "Bee Gees" were made.
- A reference is made to a line from the film Ghostbusters: "Dogs and Cats living together -- mass hysteria!"
- A rabbit's head on an ice cream man's body and its giggle is similar to the Disney/Amblin character, Roger Rabbit.
Running gags and goofs
People saying the same things as other people (eg. "Why are we in jets when we can fly?" and "New baby smell", as well as Cosmo's head full of grape jelly.)
When Jorgen says "you can visit the baby every other millenium", he flipped the calender to the 23rd century, when it should have flipped to the 4th millennium.
