Guy Garvey and Elbow

Guy Garvey (born Guy Edward John Patrick Garvey, 6 March 1974, in Bury, Lancashire, England), is the singer / guitarist for the Manchester band Elbow, as well as a presenter (Sunday evenings 10-12 GMT) for BBC 6 MUSIC and A&R manager of Skinny Dog Records.

In addition, Garvey has a monthly column in the Manchester edition of Time Out magazine and is a patron of MAG (the Mines Advisory Group), the Manchester based charity responsible for clearing war zones of mines and munitions world wide.
