I'm working on a new biograpghy about Sickboy, I am the creator of this musical persona...

Sickboy Milkplus is the performing name of Antwerp, Belgium based breakcore producer Jurgen Desmet. He got the name Sickboy as a dj name and started producing/designing his own music as Milkplus. About his fascination with some specific book and film he says: "I think the way Clockwork Orange glorifies violence is, eh, fun"

Sickboy's style can best be described as soundclash or mash-up breakcore, throwing together samples from the most diverse sources alongside some heavy kickdrums and basslines to make you shiver. He sees his music as a direct attack at pop music, copyrights and commerce.

Jurgen grew up listening to classical music and later turned to hard rock, punk, hip-hop, electro and jungle. For a short while Jurgen played bass guitar in the Belgian hardcore punk band Spineless, the other bandmembers later founded Amen Ra. He is a big fan of Andrew W.K.. As more contemporary inspiration he lists experimental jazz, noise and of course breakcore.

Jurgen started DJ-ing under the name Sickboy in 1998 playing techno, electro, hardcore en breakcore. As he wanted to make his own music, he started to use his laptop to this end and pretty soon he was composing his own laptop music.

He has toured with Toecutter, Fanny and Shitmat and has collaborated with Donna Summer (Jason Forrest). In 2005 he has collaborated with Bong-Ra as Servants of the Apocalyptic Goat Rave . Their first ep The Servants Pt.1 was released in December 2005 on the German label Russian Roulette Records. Sickboy also planned a collaboration with Shitmat.

He has worked with Belgian rockstar Mauro Pawlowski in the improv band The Parallels and provided beats for Maskesmachines Plaktang CD. And he's remixed Vive la Fête and Venetian Snares amongst others.

Before starting getting into music full time he worked as a graphic designer and he has done the art direction all of his own releases and some additional layouts under the name Milkplus, the name of the drink in A Clockwork Orange. Besides all that he's also part of Belgian breakcore partycrew Breakcore Gives Me Wood, doing live performances on all of their parties.
