The Little Blackwater begins brackish but mostly is a freshwater river that comes from the [[Blackwater River]]. It's mouth is sea level and comes from the swamp that dumps to the large[[Blackwater River]] but quickly rises. The river is around 9 miles long. The river is relativly shallow with a depth of maybe 10 where it begins but in up the river there are stumps and you rarely see a boat. The river's bordered all by farms. East is Maple Dam Road and west Is Eygpt Road. The river begins below [[Bucktown, Maryland]] and ends behind Cambridge-South Dorchester High School in [[Cambridge, Maryland where it's water level is nearly 25 feet above sea level.
