In contrary to statements of Tenetz that they would never play live, they did eight concerts on Finnish soil in the summer of [[1999]]. In [[2000]], Thy Serpent changed its lineup a little and went to the studio to record the MCD [[Death (Thy Serpent)|Death]]. Up to today, this release remains the last heard of Thy Serpent. They seem never to have played anywhere again or released new music, however have also never officially stated that they broke up either.
