Currently being published by Tokyopop in English, The Legend of Chun Hyang (also known as Shin Shunkaden) is a series CLAMP produced in 1996. It is a retelling of a well known Korean folktale of the same name.

The story follows Chun Hyang, whose name means "spring fragrance", the spirited and headstrong daughter of a sorceress in a Korean village. A master of martial arts, Chun Hyang rises to the occasion when the Ryanban, a tyrannical warlord, takes control of her village and tries to kidnap one of her friends. Despite Chun Hyang's bold nature and formidable abilities, there is little hope of freeing her village unless the Amenosa, a secret Korean government agent, arrives and catches the Ryanban in the act of abusing his powrs.

When a somewhat lecherous young man appears, Mong Ryong, Chun Hyang reluctantly accepts his help to rescue her mother, who has been captured by the Ryanban.

Chun Hyang (also known as Chun'yan), appears in Tsubasa in the Country of Koryo.
