Hot Cars and Spent Contraceptives is Turbonegro's first album, released in 1992 on Big Ball Records. Only 1,000 copies were released originally. The album was reissued in Germany in 1993 with five bonus tracks. The reissue went under the name Helta Skelta and only 1,500 copies was manufactured. When Bitzcore Records started to re-release the earlier Turbonegro-records the album was released as Hot Cars and Spent Contraceptives, but had the same tracks as Helta Skelta.
