Anton Maria Maragliano (Santa Margherita Ligure - Genoa, Italy 1664-1741) was an Italian sculptor of the Baroque period, known for his wooden statues, active mainly in his natal city of Genoa and in other Ligurian towns.
He apprenticed initially under a generally unknown sculptor, Arata, but then moved to work with Pietro Andrea Torre. He befriended Domenico Piola.
Works
- A wooden Madonna preserved in the church of San Giorgio at Bormida (Province of Savona) has been (uncertainly) attributed to Maragliano.[1]
