Ned Yost is the manager of the professional baseball team the Milwaukee Brewers. Before being hired to manage the Brewers Yost worked as a coach under Bobby Cox in the Atlanta Braves organization. Yost, as a player, was primarily as a backup catcher for the Brewers from 1980 to 1983, and then spent a year with the Texas Rangers (1984) and the Montreal Expos (1985) before retiring.
Prior to the 2005 MLB All-Star Game, N.L. manager Tony La Russa named Yost to be part of his coaching staff for the game.
