Blow is a 2001 drama film directed by Ted Demme, about an American cocaine smuggler. David McKenna and Nick Cassavetes translated Bruce Porter's book into the screenplay. The film's title comes from a slang term for cocaine. It is based on the real-life story of George Jung and Pablo Escobar.
