Victor Adam Wilson (commonly known as Adam Wilson), born Victor Adam Newman, Jr.,is a fictional character from the American soap opera The Young and the Restless. Chris Engen originated the adult role on February 12th, 2008.

Character

Victor Adam Wilson, more commonly known as Adam Wilson (last name due to stepfather Cliff Wilson, whom he believed was his biological father at one time) is the son of Victor Newman Sr. (Eric Braeden) and his late former wife, Hope Adams (Signy Coleman). Vic was raised by his mother and didn't even realize Victor was his father, due to her not wanting him to be raised with the Newman influences. (While it was mentioned at first that he preferred to be called Vic, Adam has reverted to using his middle name while residing in Genoa City.) Hope discovered that she had terminal pancreatic cancer. With both Victor and Vic by her bedside, Hope told Vic that Victor was his father. Vic had always believed that Cliff Wilson was his father and didn't want to believe that Victor could just abandon his child for his whole life. His mothers last wish was for them to be reconnected before she passed away with Vic and Victor at her bedside.

After her passing Victor gives Vic an offer to come back to Genoa City with him and work at Newman Enterprises. After Hope's funeral, Vic thinks about selling the farm, which Victor offers to buy in order to keep it in the family. Determined to abide by Hope's wishes and his own desire to get to know his other son, Victor still offers the job to Vic with no strings to either offer. He gave Vic ample time to think about it. Vic decided to quit his job in New York and headed to Genoa City to work at Newman Enterprises with his father Victor Newman Sr..

Vic came for his new job at Newman Enterprises after sneaking in a conference call while Victor was talking about oil investments, thus surprising him with his entrance. Vic accepts the job with the contingency that Victor and everyone else calls him Adam, which he states is his middle name, so that no one gets him confused with Victor and so that people don't get the wrong impression. Vic will get to know the employees at Newman and get acquainted with company policy overnight. Victor gave him a room at the Genoa City Athletic Club, him having turned down a room closer to Victor, and Vic accepted the club suite on the non-negotiable terms that he pay his own way. At his first club visit, he meets Phyllis Newman and wishes to get to know her better, though he backs down after she shows him the ring on her finger.

Vic gets to know the company a little more in detail, after going through the company's history and finance reports. He meets Neil, who is surprised to see a new face so soon. Victoria and Vic have an unexpected awkward first meeting. They talk and he finds out that Victoria, Nikki and Nick blame Vic and Hope for destroying their family. He explains to Victoria that all he is here for is the job nothing more nothing less.

Nikki bumps into Vic at the Athletics Club this time. Trying to figure how she knows Vic. Vic decides to get back to work in order to get a more understanding of Newman Enterprises. Most likely he is being groomed to take over all of Nick's duties at the company (hinted by Victoria).

Vic continues talking to Phyllis, through their workout schedules and culinary weaknesses. Afterwards, Vic, after looking at the sub-par finances, decides to work on the new Beauty line by Newman Enterprises with Victoria, the head supervisor of the endeavor. So, Victor tells Vic to help her with the line, since it's failing. She somewhat grudgingly accepts his help. Vic meets J.T. and Reed (J.T.'s son) and surprisingly happy to see and learn that he has a nephew. Vic questions Victor's motives for giving him a job when after meeting Nick, finds out that Victor fired his own son. Vic/Adam is reassured that he will not fall into the same trap.

Vic has gotten ahead of victoria in the new beauty of nature line in fact he has even went thoughter for the line. Making Victoria feel a bit left out of her line Neil suggest Vic take some time off from work and explore the city and his own club. Vic decides not to go the club. Vic has a strange conversation with someone in new york it is not clear who is could be, it maybe the girl he broke up with beth he mentioned to his mother or a possible friend or business associate from new york. Vic eventually gots to the club and is happy to see nick as per his greeting him. Vic talks to physills again, She seems to like him back.

Vic is somewhat overhelmed by doing his work, both he and Victor agree that he stick to one part of the company. He ends up agree to work exclusively on Beauty of Nature line. He suggests that they get rid of Sharon as their spokesmodel and hire a real environmental celebrity. He even went as far to set up meetings with the right people. Suggesting he is more than Victor expected,as he will not need as much grooming as he first believed to take over Nick's duties. Vic believes that the company should get rid of the ad agency completely since they are not helping the market sales of Beauty of Nature. Vic is happy that Victoria can't make it to the agency, because of an ill Reed. Questioning his true motives by working for Victor and Newman Enterprises. Vic at the meeting pushes his agenda, while Victor secretly watches him make the deal, seeing he truly has become what he wanted in a son to take over his company. Vic is shocked to discover Phyllis is Nick's wife. It is shown that the next episode Adam is finally revealed to Nikki who is seems shocked to discover Adam. Vic/Adam, having fully integrated himself into Genoa City, has now gotten more cocky and outspoken, demeaning those around him. He is currently heavily involved in ad placement in the joint online and print media venture Restless Style.
