Michael is a former Millwall squad member who can play in defence or midfield. He had two spells on loan at Crawley Town while with the Lions in 2006.

He was signed by Graham Westley manager of Rushden & Diamonds in January 2007, but was released at the end of the 2006-2007 season.

Michael was signed by the newly named Ebbsfleet United following an injury crisis at the club in August 2007. Originally signed as a central defender, he has been converted successfully to a central midfielder.
