Ray Pruit was a character in the 1990s FOX TV series Beverly Hills 90210. He was portrayed by Oscar-winning actor Jamie Walters.
Ray was a construction worker whom Donna Martin met during a prank at California University. Ray came from a poor family and often met the gang with much contension.
He slept with Valerie behind Donna's back. Ray's mother approved of his relationship with Donna, mostly because she comes from a rich family.
Ray eventually became physically abusive, having harmed Donna on several occasions. He eventually left the series but returned much later, briefly, having been rehabilitated and engaged to another woman.
On March 26, 2008, Mandy Stadtmiller of the New York Post reported that Donna Martin is currently "[m]arried to David [Silver], . . . [but] she still also finds time to have affairs with abusive guitar-playing construction workers." This is likely a reference to Ray Pruit and his ilk.
