John French (born 20 July 1952 in New York City, New York), better known with his stage name Jay Jay French or J.J. French, is the founding member and one of the two guitarists of the American heavy metal band, Twisted Sister.

French briefly used the stage name Johnny Heartbreaker in the first years of his career. Rumour has it that his real name is John Segall or John Fred Segal[1] but he has stated that his only legal name is John French[2]. He is the owner of French Management and Rebellion Entertainment along with his business partner, Sean Sullivan. He and his former wife, Janice Brock, have one 15 year-old daughter, Samantha, who also resides in New York City and attends Bard High School Early College.
