Dreaming is track number 1 from the 1979 album Eat to the Beat by Blondie. This was the first single to be released from the album in September 1979. It is a very New Wave/Rock song, and a Blondie anthem. It reached number 2 in the UK and the B-side to this single was the Lullaby Sound-A-Sleep, also from the album Eat to the Beat.

The Dreaming is also the title of an early 1980s recording by Kate Bush.
