Melody Jones is a fictional character in Home and Away. She is good friends with Annie Campbell and is portrayed by Celeste Dodwell. [1] [2]
Background
Melody is a religious Catholic and attends church regularly. She has very strict mother who sets very strict rules, which Melody has to abide by.
Introduction
Melody is introduced as one of Annie Campbell's friends with a crush on Annie's brother Geoff. She is a shy, well behaved student and was on the committee for the send off of Sally Fletcher. She is in the same grade as Annie.
Storylines
Annie disapproved of Geoff's attraction to another girl at school who she deemed inappropriate, and tried to set him up with Melody who she thought was a more suitable match. After many attempts, Annie confronted Geoff about why he had not made a move on Melody. As a reply, he accidentally blurted out that "she's just not pretty like other girl's." Melody overheard him and ran off devastated. Geoff found her and tried to apologise, but she told him that she would never forgive him. He accepted this and was truly sorry for what he said. A few weeks later, Melody developed a crush on Geoff again. She told Annie that she thought he was "hot," and even asked Miles if it is alright that a Protestant and a Catholic can date each other, to which he replied that it was fine, which encouraged Melody to pursue Geoff even more. Geoff became annoyed once more with Melody's behaviour towards him.
After Geoff revealed to Melody how he really felt, she was hurt, but later on they made up. She told him it would be stubborn to be angry just because he does not feel the same way about her. However, in episode 4629 Geoff asked Melody out on a date after realising that it's what's on the inside of a person that is important.
Melody and Geoff recently shared their first kiss and are very happy together, although Nicole's scheming is attempting to come between them.
