David Bridges (born 9th September, 1982 in Huntingdon) is an English footballer who plays for Stevenage Borough. He is a midfielder.

Bridges begam his career with Cambridge United, comning through the club's successful youth policy, he made his debut in the old Division Two against Huddersfield Town in March 2002 and scored his first goal for the club in a home game with Tranmere Rovers the following month. Bridges left Cambridge at the end of the 2003/04 season after failing to agree a contract with French manager Hervé Renard.

After trialling at a number of clubs, most notably Chesterfield and Rushden & Diamonds, without securing a deal, Bridges considered playing in America before an opportunity arrived to play in Latvia for SK Riga. An early injury prevented a lengthy stay and he returned to the UK to join Histon and played his part in the final games of the 2004/05 season, helping them achieve promotion to the Conference South.

At the start of the 2005/06 season, new Cambridge United manager Rob Newman invited Bridges back to train with Cambridge United, recently relegated to the Football Conference, and he did enough to earn a one year contract which was subsequently extended to the 2006/07 season. Following the sacking of Newman, Bridges was a regular feature of new manager Jimmy Quinn's squad. However, he was released in May 2007, and joined Kettering two months later.

During the 2005/06 season, Bridges earned an England National Game XI cap when called up to play in a game against Italy, a match staged at Cambridge's Abbey Stadium, his home ground at the time.
