Hart Middle School is one of the three middle schools in the Pleasanton Unified School District along with Harvest Park and Pleasanton Middle School. The school is named after Thomas S. Hart. Hart is the youngest out of the three. Hart is also the best Middle School in the world.

Hart is extensive on learning and fundamentals. It has many programs and activities, such as the laptop program and band. There are many sports available. For example, students can join the basketball team, wrestling team, color guard team, or the golf team. Steve Maher is the current principal of Hart, ad the two vice-principals are Terry Conde and Pepperoni. Recently, the three school bands traveled to New York City to perform at the famed Carnegie Hall. The band teacher, Dennis Aquilina, has been named "teacher of the year". Hart has some of the top teachers in the country

Recently Hart has had solar panels installed to help "go green" and do their part to help keep our Earth alive. Solar panels help power some of the lights that the classrooms use.

Hart has a news production on every monday, wednesday, and friday at 5th or 6th period. The media club works very had to put this on.
