Structure

TV and Radio Episodes

All episodes must have an infobox in the style of template below. Also, they must have a brief synopsis, a fully detailed plot, and ending details. The page must also include a list of the main cast, e.g. Mainwaring, Mrs Pike, the Vicar etc, but not extras, for example the back rows of the platoon. Finally, you may add any notes that you believe are important about the episode in question. For example: This episode is lost or this episode was meant to be broadcast on the... or perhaps even trivia, such as the specific filming locations. Please use The Man and the Hour (first episode of Dad's army) page as a guide.

For a full describtion of what should be in each section of the episode pages see WikiProject Dad's Army/Episode Structure.

Goals

  1. To create detailed pages on all Dad's Army TV and radio episodes.
  2. Improve all articles so they may get nominated as a GA or a FA.

Adopt an article

Similar to the Collaboration of the week, but on a smaller scale, you might want to "adopt" an article. This would involve doing the research, writing, and picture-taking (if possible) for either a non-existent article or a stub. Of course, everyone else can still edit an adopted article, and you can work on other things too, but the idea is to find a focus for a while, to try and build up the number of quality articles the Project has produced.

Templates

Infoboxes

Episode Infobox

Template:Infobox Dad's Army

This is how the userbox should be filed in twice on each episode page (one for the TV episode and one for the audio episode, for information on what the page should look like and where the infoboxes go take a look at The Desperate Drive of Lance Corporal Jones page). If you want the original template go to {{Infobox Dad's Army}}. If you need any help using it then just click on the link to the template and on the page there is a usage box which you just need to copy and fill in.

Character Infobox

Template:Dad's Army character This is how the userbox should be filed in on each character page. If you want the original template go to {{Dad's Army character}}. For an example page on how this infobox should be used see List of characters in Dad's Army and click on any of the character names for the infobox, it's best to click on one of the main character pages i.e platoon members, as they definitely all have complete infoboxes. If you need any help using it then just click on the link to the template and on the page there is a usage box which you just need to copy and fill in.
