Ann Sexton,under her real name Mary Burton was rediscovered by a co worker, NYC Blues harmonica legend, Sonny Hudson at the Bronx, NY school where she worked as a paraprofessional. Due to inquiries about Sexton, German DJ and promoter Dan Dombrowe and Hudson(acting as her informal manager) were put in touch with each other and began serious negotiations. Ann Sexton (born 5 February 1950 in Greenville, South Carolina) is a US soul singer.
Sexton recorded a number of records for John Richbourg during the 1970s.A minor recording artist,her obscure recordings became very popular during the Northern Soul phenomenon in Europe.
