Elizabeth Merrick is the founder and director of the Grace Reading Series and editor of the Random House anthology This is not chick lit.[1]
She received a BA from Yale, an MFA from Cornell, and an MA in Creativity and Art Education from San Francisco State.
She has taught at New York University (NYU) and Cornell, and currently lives in New York where she works as a writing coach and runs the "Elizabeth's Workshops" writing school.
Merrick has received fellowships from the Saltonstall Foundation, the Ragdale Foundation, and VCCA.
She is also responsible for the new, independent publishing house Demimonde Books. The only book released by Demimonde was Girly in December 2005.
Girly is Elizabeth Merrick’s first novel.
