Romilly Weeksis currently Royal Correspondent for ITV News.
After a career in acting, Weeks went into broadcasting journalism.[1] Now an experienced presenter and journalist, she has covered events all round the world for ITN. She was embedded with the British Army during the Second Gulf War (infamously taking her hair straighteners),[2] reported from Thailand after the tsunami, and from Australia for the Queen's last tour. Her recent interviewees include Prince Harry, Margaret Thatcher and John Howard.
During the Queen's 60th wedding anniversary, Weeks was listened to in live commentary and then surprised by Prince Philip.[3]
She lives in London.[2]
