Belinda Peregrín Schull was born in Madrid on August 15, 1989. Belinda is of French and Spanish decent. At the age of 4 she moved to Mexico City where she has lived with her family ever since.
At a very early age Belinda showed an incredible talent for singing, acting and making home videos that she wrote and filmed herself. When she was 10, she starred in her first TV series entitled "Amigos X Siempre", produced by Televisa in Mexico and contributed to a CD of the soundtrack for the program. Both the TV series and its soundtrack became huge successes in Latin America and other parts of the world. At the age of 11 she starred in her second TV series named "Aventuras En EL Tiempo", which was also produced by Televisa. The series and the soundtrack achieved great success in both Latin America and other countries.
At the age of 12, she starred in her third television series called "Cómplices al rescate"(Accomplices at Rescue)playing twins and recorded a soundtrack for the program. The series was produced by Televisa. Belinda's portrayal of one rich and one poor sister was successful in many countries such as the United States, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Peru, Chile, Guatemala, Ecuador, Bolivia, Philippines, Indonesia and Spain. She sold thousands of CDs and her tour for each TV Series became a great success with more than 160 live shows and an audience of more than 1,00.000 people.
Just before turning 14, she launched her self titled CD "Belinda," which became successful in all of Latin America and Spain by selling more than 800,000 copies. Her tour entitled "Party on the Flat Roof" was also greatly successful with more than 500,000 people attending the more than 80 live shows. She was awarded the female Record of the National Auditorium in Mexico City where she performed 12 Shows with 120,000 people attending. At present, Belinda is promoting "Bella traición", the second single of the platinum album, Utopia, released in October 2006 and distributed by the label EMI Music Televisa. The track has been played on Mexican radio stations and the video can be seen on the main musical programs. Recorded in Los Angeles, Utopia contains 13 pop songs produced and composed by some of the best of their kind in the industry including Kara DioGuardi (Kelly Clarkson and Gwen Stefani), Jimmy Harry (Kylie Minogue and Britney Spears), Doc McKeeny (RES), Greg Kursten (Lily Allen and Pink), Lester Méndez (Santana and Shakira), and Greg Wells (Celine Dion and Elton John).
She recently also shot her first English movie with Disney named "Cheetah Girls 2".

In the United States, especially in Miami, her song "Luz sin gravedad" is already popular and the English version, "See a Little Light," appears on the CD "Utopia". She used this track to help gain influence in the English speaking world.
