===Ted Tonks=== |
|||
After faking his death in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Ted Tonks, the man with the totally awesome name decided he wanted more to life than snogging hot blonde girls young enough to be his granddaughter. Ted Tonks then moved to La Push where he had a secret affair with Billy Black. Ted Tonks was very grateful for his discovery in finding a werewolf with a name one syllable less than the last werewolf Ted Tonks had an affair with, but was deeply upset when he discovered that Billy Black was not a werewolf afterall. Although, there is evidence to support the fact that that Ted Tonks will play a much larger role in Breaking Dawn as many fans speculate that werewolf, Jacob Black will imprint Ted Tonks.citation needed |

The following are minor characters in the series Twilight by Stephenie Meyer.
Vampires
James
The major antagonist of the novel Twilight, James is depicted as a merciless "tracker" vampire who hunts human beings for sport. Fellow coven member Laurent says of James that he is unusually gifted at what he does and always gets what he wants, though it is later revealed that a then-human Alice Cullen escaped his clutches some time ago by being turned into a vampire before he could attack. Unlike the Cullen family, he drinks human blood as his food source. Towards the end of Twilight, James was dismembered and set on fire (thus permanently destroyed) by Cullen brothers Emmett and Jasper, after luring Bella to an empty ballet studio and nearly killing her. The shimmery scar left by his venomous bite still remains on Bella's hand as a symbol of his failed attempt on her life. As for his physical appearance, he is described as being quite unremarkable and average-looking, even by human standards, signaling that he was quite unattractive before becoming a vampire.
Victoria
A red-headed, cat-like vampire, Victoria was originally a member of James' coven. She played a small role in the first book assisting James, her lover and coven leader, in hunting Bella Swan. After James was killed she decided to exact revenge on Edward Cullen by finishing James' last quest and plotting to kill Bella. However, Bella was sufficiently protected from her wrath by the Quileute werewolves. Months later in Eclipse, it was discovered that Victoria was creating an army of bloodthirsty newborn vampires in Seattle to rise up against the combined forces of the werewolves and Cullen family. During this battle, both she and her new partner Riley were destroyed by Edward and the young werewolf Seth Clearwater.
Laurent
A dark-haired, olive-toned vampire, Laurent was a member of James' coven. When James and Victoria chose to track and murder Bella in Twilight, Laurent left both of them and traveled to Denali, Alaska in hopes of finding solace among a coven of "vegetarian" vampires. However, he did not adopt their strict diet of drinking animal blood, and "cheated" by occasionally feeding on humans. During this stay that he took a special liking to a vampire named Irina, though the infatuation was not strong enough to keep him there, as he later returned to Forks in New Moon as a favor to Victoria. During this visit he stumbled across Bella and tried to kill her, before being ambushed by the Quileute werewolves and subsequently destroyed.
Tanya
A strawberry-blonde vampire who is the leader of the Denali coven in Alaska. Edward flees to Alaska to visit Tanya's family after he first encounters Bella in Forks, attempting to avoid rash action (i.e. killing Bella and causing his family to have to move from Forks.) Her coven is the only other one known to practice the "vegetarian" lifestyle that the Cullens follow- hunting animals instead of humans. The Cullens were known to be on good terms with Tanya's coven, having spent some time with them. This relationship was stressed, however, when Carlisle called Tanya, asking for assistance with the Victoria situation in Eclipse, only to be rejected. It turned out that Laurent had become romantically involved with Irina, Tanya's sister, and Irina held a grudge against the werewolves for killing him, and, indirectly, the Cullens for not avenging Laurent. It is revealed in Eclipse that Tanya showed interest in Edward while he spent time in Alaska, but that Edward politely turned her down.
The Volturi
Aro, Marcus, Caius, and two unknown females are the leaders of a vampire coven known as the Volturi, who reside in Volterra, Italy. They are regarded as "royalty" by other vampires because they have lived for well over three thousand years and act as police, enforcing the one vampire law: that their existence be kept secret from all humans. They are protected by powerful vampires who have been collected for their talents and skills, such as Jane, who possesses the ability to create a mental hallucination of severe pain, and Demetri, who is able to locate anyone in the world once he has been exposed to the tenor of their mind. The Volturi are extremely dangerous and intimidatingly powerful, even to other large groups of vampires such as the Cullens. At the end of New Moon, the Volturi discover that Bella, a human, has learned of the existence of vampires, and demand that she be made into a vampire as well, or else be killed.
Werewolves
Sam Uley
Sam is the leader of the La Push pack. Before becoming a werewolf, he was romantically involved with Leah Clearwater, his high school sweetheart. His relationship with her started to fall apart after his transformation, because he was forbidden to tell Leah what he had become. Their relationship ended when Sam imprinted on Leah's second cousin, Emily, and went back on every promise he had ever made to Leah. According to Jacob, Sam feels guilty for betraying her and responsible for the bitter person Leah has become.
Quil Ateara
A member of the werewolf pack and Jacob's "wingman", he is mentioned in passing in the first novel of the series but becomes somewhat of a regular character as of New Moon. Unlike a few other members of the pack, he was happy about becoming a werewolf, since it allowed him to finally have his friends back and understand what was going on. Quil is one of the three wolves of the pack who have imprinted; he imprinted on Emily's two-year-old niece, Claire. Although this seems to cause something of a scandal, Jacob explains that there is currently nothing sexual or romantic about it, and that Quil will be whatever Claire needs him to be for the rest of her life– whether a brother, a friend, a protector or a lover.
Embry Call
Embry is another one of Jacob's "wingmen". He appears briefly in New Moon and Eclipse. Embry calls Bella Swan "vampire girl" because she hangs out with the Cullen family. His mother was not a woman from the tribe; since the werewolf traits are inherited from father to son, he is probably the half brother of Quil Ateara, Jacob Black, or Sam Uley. This causes some stress within the pack, since all of these men's fathers were married at and before the time of his birth. Leah Clearwater causes some distress in the group as she constantly thinks about this matter.
Paul
Paul is prone to angry outbursts, which cause him to burst into his wolf form. He is the most volatile member of the pack, and became so enraged when he learned that Jacob told Bella about the pack that he turned into a werewolf and attempted to attack her. He currently seems to have no ill feelings towards Bella or Jacob.
Jared
Jared is one of the three werewolves to imprint: he imprinted on a girl he sat next to in class, Kim. Before he was a werewolf, he never paid any attention to her. After his transformation, he looked at her once and imprinted. He was the first werewolf to phase after the pack's leader, Sam Uley.
Leah Clearwater
Leah is the only female member of the La Push pack. She transformed into a werewolf during the events of New Moon, around the same time as her brother, Seth. This transformation is believed to be what caused the heart attack and death of their father, Harry. She dated Sam Uley for years, until her cousin Emily came to visit and Sam imprinted on her. Sam thus left Leah for Emily. She believes that Sam betrayed her, but she still longs for him. Leah is thus very bitter and cynical, and constantly antagonizes the pack by thinking about things that the other pack members want to avoid dwelling on, such as Embry's parentage.
Seth Clearwater
Seth is Leah's younger brother, and a member of the La Push pack. He transformed into a werewolf during the events of New Moon, around the same time as his sister, Leah. In New Moon he was shown to idolize Jacob Black, and is said to remind Bella of a younger Jacob. In Eclipse Seth stayed with Bella and Edward, due to his young age of only 14, to act as a connection to the pack during the newborn attack. When Victoria and Riley appeared, Seth fought and destroyed Riley with Edward's help. Seth is mentioned in the first chapter of Breaking Dawn when Bella calls him to check on Jacob. Seth tells Bella that they know that Jacob is somewhere in Northern Canada, but the pack does not know precisely where he is located. He also tells Bella to say hello to Edward, with whom he has developed a friendship, and that he and his mother accept Bella and Edward's invitation to their wedding.
Humans
Harry Clearwater
Harry Clearwater was an elder of the Quileute tribe, having died in New Moon from a heart attack. He left behind a wife, Sue, a daughter Leah, and a son, Seth. He and his family were only briefly mentioned in the beginning of New Moon, in which his wife was scolding him for not watching his cholesterol. Once Bella learns that Jacob is a werewolf, it is Harry and Billy Black who invite Charlie Swan to La Push to try to entertain him and keep out of trouble. When Bella decides to jump off a cliff, Harry has a fatal heart attack caused by the sudden change into werewolves by his children, Seth and Leah.[1]
Billy Black
Billy Black is Jacob Black's father, born and raised in La Push, and an elder in the Quileute tribe. He is described as being heavyset, having a wrinkled face and russet skin, in a wheelchair, and having black hair and black eyes. His other family members include his twin daughters, Rachel and Rebecca, and his deceased wife, Sarah. Billy Black is directly descended from the last chief of the Quileute tribe, Ephraim Black, who was his grandfather, causing his son, Jacob Black, to have werewolf blood in him. One of Billy's best friends in Forks is Bella Swan's father, Charlie Swan. Once Billy was crippled from an illness and forced to be in a wheelchair, Billy gave his truck to Charlie to give to Bella.
Tyler Crowley
Tyler Crowley is one of Bella's classmates. In Twilight he nearly hit Bella with his van, but she was saved by Edward. Afterwards, Tyler was desperate to make it up to her and bombarded her with constant apologies and asked Bella to a school dance, though she refused. He mistakenly assumed she would go to their prom with him and told the rest of the school, only to hear from Edward that Bella would be unavailable to anyone but himself.
Lauren Mallory
Lauren is a silver blonde, fishy-eyed girl who is jealous of Bella despite being popular herself. When Bella moved in, the instant attention that Bella received made Lauren envious, and she remained hostile towards Bella for the rest of Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse. She was particularly jealous of the attention that Bella received from Tyler Crowley, on whom Lauren had a crush.
Mike Newton
A popular classmate of Bella's, Mike has an ongoing crush on Bella throughout the series. He dated Jessica Stanley for roughly half of Twilight, but the two broke up between Twilight and New Moon. Mike works with Bella at his father’s store (Newton's Outfitters) selling camping/hiking/outdoor gear. Bella describes him as taking on the qualities of a golden retriever in Twilight, because he always walked her to class and was helpful and friendly when she arrived in Forks. However, Bella has expressed to Mike that she prefers Edward, and by New Moon he seems to have given up on her. He is originally described as having a "baby face", spiky blond hair, and blue eyes. Later in the series, Bella believes he attempted to copy Edward's hairstyle in order to get her attention.
Jessica Stanley
Jessica is a classmate of Bella's and her first friend in Forks. She informed Bella about the Cullen family on her first day at school. She tends to be more interested in Bella's popularity than Bella's actual character, and is sometimes jealous of Mike's affections toward Bella. In the excerpt from Midnight Sun, Edward hears that Jessica's thoughts toward Bella are actually quite rude.[2] Jessica is described as a "chatterbox" with curly dark hair. She and Bella had a falling out in New Moon due to Bella's depression over Edward's departure, but their friendship ended on a good note at graduation during Eclipse. She is revealed in the first chapter of Midnight Sun to have befriended Bella to share in her attention, as well as to be able to strike up a conversation with Mike Newton, who was curious about Bella.
Angela Weber
A classmate of Bella's, Angela is described as being a shy, quiet, and very kind girl. In the excerpt from Midnight Sun, Edward hears from her thoughts that she would like to get to know Bella better, but is afraid of what Bella will think of her. Furthermore, she is one of the few of Bella's newly acquired "friends" that is not planning on using Bella's appeal to their own advantage.[2] She has light brown hair and soft brown eyes. She respects the space of others, a characteristic that is very much appreciated by Bella, and has a very gentle disposition. She played a minor role in Twilight, but became very good friends with Bella during the events of New Moon. She has a strong relationship with her boyfriend, Ben Cheney.
Eric Yorkie
Eric is a classmate of Bella's who was immediately interested in her when she moved to Forks. He was resentful of Mike's similar interest, and later in Twilight was seen walking the other way after Mike was hit with a snowball. He asked Bella to a school dance, but she declined and he went with Angela Weber instead. Eric was valedictorian of his graduating class, and is described as being an "overly eager" chess club type and very tall with a poor complexion and hair as black as an oil slick.
Emily Young
Emily is Sam Uley's fiancée and second cousin to Leah Clearwater. While dating Leah, Sam imprinted upon Emily when she visited and began pursuing her. She is described as having copper skin, raven black hair, and three long disfiguring scars running down the side of her face as the result of Sam phasing into werewolf form too close to her. These scars pull one of her almond shaped eyes down and also tug on the side of her mouth, causing her to have a scowl on one side of her face. Despite this, Emily seems to bear no resentment towards Sam or any other members of the pack. Emily is also known as "wolf girl" by Bella for Emily calls her "vampire girl" in some parts of the book New Moon. Bella feels Emily is the mother figure to the pack because she cooks all of their meals and they feel very comfortable and open at her and Sam's house.
