The Batong Line (Chinese: 八通线; pinyin: Bātōng Xiàn) is an elevated rail line in Beijing, China, that forms part of the Beijing Subway.
Beijing's municipal subway commission formally lists "Batong" as part of Line 1 of the Beijing subway, but because of its elevated nature, it has a different name. Originally the line was supposed to stretch from Fuxingmen (复兴门) to Bawangfen (八王坟) and known as the Fu-ba Line. But then actual construction stretched the line to Tongzhou District, so the name persevered even though it was technically never made official. It is the name under which it is known on all Beijing subway display boards.
It is fully above ground and stretches from Sihui in the west to Tuqiao in the east.
The sections from Gaobeidian through to Baliqiao see it immersed in the middle of the Jingtong Expressway.
