Mega Math Blaster is definitely a remake of Ep1. It has similar elements because it's the same basic thing, and a different story because otherwise it's an update, not a remake. A sequel continues the story. The remake retells it. I was working in the Torrance building in QA and I saw what they were doing. |

Is it necessary to go over waht the box says at the bottom of the article, there?
Math Blaster vs. Blaster Learning System
There doesn't really seem to be a "system." We've all played this as kids. Why isn't it just called "Math Blaster"?
I think this should be 'math blaster' for the same reason as the above petition.
- Why isn't it just called "Math Blaster"?
- Because half of the series is called "Reading Blaster" and the series as a whole has been advertised as "the Blaster Learning System." 67.171.163.212 22:04, 9 December 2006 (UTC)
Remake?
I played Math Blaster Ep1, Ep2, and Mega as a kid and fondly remember them. I can tell you that Mega Math Blaster is NOT a remake of the original. It has a few similar elements here and there, but there is a totally different story (including a new antagonist) and lots of different gameplay. Being that many sequels in games use old gameplay elements, I'm going to have to call it a sequel NOT a remake.
