The Cathedral of La Laguna is a Roman Catholic church in San Cristóbal de La Laguna, on the Spanish island of Tenerife in the Canary Islands. The church was designated a cathedral in 1818 and is the seat of the Diocese of San Cristóbal de La Laguna, which includes the islands of Tenerife, La Palma, La Gomera and El Hierro. The current building was constructed between 1904 and 1915 to replace an earlier building begun in 1515. The cathedral is located in the historic centre of La Laguna and was declared a World Heritage Site in 1999 by UNESCO. It contains elements of several architectural styles and is noted for its Neoclassical facade, inspired by Pamplona Cathedral, as well as its dome, which stands out prominently in the city landscape. In the cathedral lie the remains of Alonso Fernández de Lugo, the conqueror of the island and founder of the La Laguna. This photograph shows one of the side chapels of the Cathedral of La Laguna, with a 6-metre-tall (20 ft) gilded reredos behind the altar. Constructed in the Baroque style in the first half of the 18th century, the reredos is the largest in the Canary Islands. The chapel is dedicated to the Virgin of Los Remedios, whose statue is in the central niche behind the altar. The reredos features seven paintings, attributed to Hendrick van Balen, depicting scenes from the lives of Jesus and Mary.Photograph credit: Diego Delso

Early life

Sarah is the eldest child of Katy and Andy. She was classified as a prodigy from an early age, possibly accredited to her tendency to always separate foods on her plate. She had a happy childhood, also spending an extended period of time in Thailand. Her life was incomplete, however, until she met Molly Daleos in year 8.

Secondary schooling

Sarah is currently in year 10 at a notorious western suburbs school. She is classified as a 'mass squid' doing year 11 maths. She is protected from bullies by being friends with the über cool Molly Daleos.

Friends

Sarah looks up to, idolizes and love the Mollinator. She is also friends with Bonnie the super-intelligent, and Megan the hyperactive. There are also many others who, luckily for them, are not as weird enough to be subject to mention.

Interests

Sarah unfortunately loves mathematics. (bahaha). Cooler hobbies include soccer, in which she is known as Cõle, and wikipedia editing. She also plays a few too many musical instruments and subsequently has no social life. When she finds time at school, she enjoys decorating Erica's locker, whether or not it's her birthday (see: The Pen Incident,The Coin Incident,The Great Fake Birthday Debacle)

Criminal Activity

Sarah thoroughly and wholeheartedly denies the fact that she ever held a "warning monobrow on board" sign out of a schoolbus window, as Mr Donaldson (see: Mono-Dono) is her favourite teacher. In similar circumstances, she claims no responsibility for ever saying that Ms Jane, whose subject of religious education she adores so passionately, dressed like a bed (see: HOLY SHEET, WWMJD). And moreso than anything else, she has NEVER made inappropriate comments during a movie, especially not Harry Potter. However, she has been known to be an associate in many prank-calling crimes to various victims(see: Dr Wall)and strange text messages to a certain admirer of Erica's, as she feels it her duty to make sure someone as fabulous as Erica gets only the best!

Medical Problems and Substance Abuse

Sarah suffered from an alleged fast heart, really she has fallen in love, but cannot comprehend the idea due to her inability to cope with anything that is not mathematical or scientific. The subject of her affection (try as she might to deny it) is the charming, charismatic, pet-rock-collecting, blood-fearing *** *****. It has to be, as he is the only boy she knows (soon to change, see User:Motomooda). She has used her supposed cardiac problems to gain access to the drug atenolol, which she is now hooked on and uses to prepare herself for any tests/exams (the only reason she ever manages to score higher than Molly)

Awards and accreditations

Sarah has won some unimportant science competition for her year group and state twice (yawn), and also was on the winning team for the Geologi Science competition. Her best achievement however, is that of the plinky plonky stinky winky wonky donkey, don't ask.

Future plans

Sarah enjoys editing and improving all Wikipedia pages, especially those including medicine (and cardiology...) She hopes to become a world famous doctor/surgeon (and is currently considering cardio-thoracic surgery specialisation...) This means that you will hopefully see her name on many medical articles (eg. Atenolol - haha, squid).
