Rotorua Boys' High School is a state school educating boys from Year 9 to Year 13. It is situated just outside of the Rotorua CBD at the intersection of Old Taupo Road and Pukuatua Street in Rotorua, New Zealand.
It is notable for considerable sporting success, having won on several occasions the New Zealand secondary school championship in rugby and the world secondary school golf championship in consecutive years.[citation needed] The school has also produced national rowing champions in the under 15 quadruple sculls (2003, 2004), under 16 quadruple sculls (2004) and under 17 eights (2007).[citation needed] Recently a new centre for leadership has opened, headed by Clayton MacMillan, former representative rugby player for New Zealand Maori and the Bay of Plenty steamers.
History
Rotorua Boys' High School was formed back in 1927 as a Boys and Girls school. It was then made a Boys' Unisex school in 1956 when Rotorua Girls' High School was opened.

Hostel
Rotorua Boys' High School officially opened a new on site boarding facility in 2005 at a cost of $3.5 million. The facility is designed to accommodate 104 students which represents over 10 percent of the school role.
