Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to [[Wikipedia:Talk page|talk pages]] and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should [[Wikipedia:Sign your posts on talk pages|sign your posts]] by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. Please do not post copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder, as you did to Alcoholics Anonymous. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites (http://psychologytoday.com/articles/index.php?term=pto-19960901-000027&page=2 in this case) or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:

  • If you have permission from the author leave a message explaining the details on the article Talk page and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
  • If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or released into the public domain leave a note at Talk:Alcoholics Anonymous with a link to where we can find that note;
  • If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on the article Talk page. Alternatively, you may create a note on your web page releasing the work under the GFDL and then leave a note at Talk:Alcoholics Anonymous with a link to the details.

Otherwise, you are encouraged to rewrite this article in your own words to avoid any copyright infringement. After you do so, you should place a {{hangon}} tag on the article page and leave a note at Talk:Alcoholics Anonymous saying you have done so. An administrator will review the new content before taking action.

It is also important that all Wikipedia articles have an encyclopedic tone and follow Wikipedia article layout. For more information on Wikipedia's policies, see Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. Disruptive editing

  • At 18:45 on 12 October 2007, User:207.232.97.13 added copyright material from http://aa-history.com/dickb16.html
    • When references were requested for this material, at 04:08, 16 October 2007 the user added a false reference to another book.
    • The actual copyright source (Dick B.) has been previously discussed and disallowed [1] due to unreliability. [2][3][4].
  • 04:18, 16 October 2007 Added unsourced material.
  • 21:05, 16 October 2007 Added unsourced material.
  • 21:11, 16 October 2007 Removal, without discussion, of material that had been amended as per talk page discussion.

User removed reliable, relevant, reliably-sourced information. — DavidMack 23:22, 6 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

23:53, 15 November 2007: User added copyright material copied and pasted without reference from Resisting 12-Step Coercion by Peele (see text p 47 in Google books). User even included a line break from the book: "tradi- tional".

I have reported you for disruptive editing. — -- DavidMack (talk) 21:56, 16 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors.
