Narre Warren is a railway station in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, located in the suburb of Narre Warren, on the Pakenham railway line. It is in Metcard Zone 2.
Narre Warren is classed as a Premium Station.
Location
The station is located at the eastern end of the Webb Street level crossing. Westfield Fountain Gate shopping centre is a short walk from the station.
Facilities
The station consists of two platforms, in an island format. The island platform contains a semi-large fibro building with a waiting room, toilets and a ticket office inside. A large Metcard machine is located inside the waiting room, which is able to dispense most ticketing options available and also accept notes and coins.
Bus routes 834, 835, 841 and 895 can be caught from the bus stop just outside the station.
Both platforms can be accessed via Webb Street.
History
Narre Warren station originally opened on 10 March 1882 on the UP end of the level crossing. It relocated to the DOWN end of the level crossing in 1995. The station was upgraded to Premium Station status in October 2003 with current Metlink signage.
