Hello Beautiful is an Alternative rock band from Whitby, Ontario, Canada. They are known primarily for their hybrid sound of punk, rock, and hip hop.
History
Origins
Kevin Walsh and Cole Martin had been playing together in a punk band for about 10 years before deciding they needed a new scene. Splitting with that band, they then joined with Dan Bradimore, who at that time was enlisted not for bass but guitar. After getting the full band together and playing quite a few gigs together decided it was time to start on an album. Unfortunately when the time came to record their MC at the time (Adam) decided he wanted to go to school. A call-out for MCs was put out and auditions set up, and the band eventually found Charlie Royal. All the songs had already been written but Charlie didn't think it right to sing someone else's lyrics. So, in a matter of weeks, the raps were re-written and the band was on their way to making their album. The recording gave the group a local following and were awarded a spot on the 13th Annual Vans Warped Tour in 2007.
Soundtrack for Scenario
In April 2008, Hello Beautiful recorded their full-length debut, Soundtrack for Scenario, with the help of Canadian music industry veteran, Murray Daigle.
The album was subsequently released a year later under Bent Penny Records.
