Jose Baxter started his footballing career when he was snapped up by Everton in 1997 at the tender age of 6. Baxter joined the Everton first-team on both tours of Switzerland and America (even though he did not play). On 26th July 2008, Everton visited Nottingham Forests, City Ground. Everton were 1-0 down and Baxter came on as a sub for an injured Andy van der Meyde and proved his massive potential with an unstoppible strike from 20 yards out after running 30 yards with the ball and curling it into the top Left hand corner.

He is expected to feature in Evertons 2008-09 season.
