The website is owned by Kevin Smith and operated by Ken Plume. It is the home of several popular podcasts including SModcast, Snydecast and Cabin Fever.[1]
History
QSE's original incarnation as Movie Poop Shoot .com was originally used as a promo for Kevin Smith's film Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back and was a parody of websites such as Aint It Cool News and was featured in the film.[2] It then became a real mulitmedia website in 2002 run by the now Editor-In-Chief of IDW comics Chris Ryall.[3]
The name Quick Stop Entertainment .com comes from another Kevin Smith movie. Clerks is Kevin Smiths first movie and is based in a convenience store called Quick Stop Groceries. This store is featured in more of his films such as Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back and Clerks 2.[4]
