'Nights Out' is the second album by British electronic act Metronomy, to be released in September on Because Music in the UK [1].
The genesis for the album was as "a half-arsed concept album about going out and having a crap time."[2] Because of recent success with remixes and their first album, Nights Out has the potential to lead to mainstream success [3].
Joseph Mount has written and recorded most of the album by himself but Gabriel and Oscar "play bits on a couple of tracks on the album and it's kind of become....Metronomy...which takes the heat off me a bit as well"[4]
The album cover can be found here: [1]

Singles and EPs
So far three singles/EPs from Nights Out have been released;, Radio Ladio - EP, My Heart Rate Rapid - EP, Holiday - Single and they will soon be followed by Heartbreaker.
Radio Ladio, released on November 12, 2007, the accompanying video by Daniel Breteton features Joseph, Oscar and Gabriel with their skin painted blues and greens, playing kiddie-like pianos that have incorrect keys while they lust after an unobtainable woman..
My Heart Rate Rapid, released on April 7, 2008, featured remixes from Primary 1 and Maton while the video directed by The Dandi Wind featured zentai-suited women dancing in front of a back drop of lava flows, eruptions fire, toy trains, psychedelic aminations and other werid and wild film stock.
Holiday was first released as a single on July 7, 2008 along with a video by Daniel Bereton. It features the band playing in a studio with weird objects such as a warped mirror, a colored lilo and many men walking through, holding such objects entering and leaving the shot. Most notably the band all wear sunglasses with the word Holiday written on the lens .
Holiday will be jointly released in France with Heartbreaker on August 1, 2008 (already available on iTunes France) with remixes by other artists.
