Untitled

It's About Time is the debut studio album from the Jonas Brothers. It was released in August 8, 2006 from their then-label Daylight/Columbia Records. The album managed to peak at #91 on the Billboard 200 and, to date, has sold 62,000 copies in the United States.[1] [2] [3]

The brothers decided to switch record companies from Columbia Records to Hollywood Records, and Columbia was told not to sell any more copies of "It's About Time", since Hollywood Records wanted more sales in their sophomore album, Jonas Brothers. Since the band had become a favorite to Disney viewers/listeners, they signed with Hollywood Records in early 2007, where their second release, (and their first release with the record company) Jonas Brothers has sold more than 1.5 million copies. That time, it was announced that this might be the band's one and only album under Columbia Records. It's About Time was taken off of the iTunes store though the video clip for "Year 3000" is still available for purchase. "Year 3000" was included in Jonas Brothers too, since many fans that had not bought It's About Time liked the song very much.

The song "Time for Me to Fly" was featured on the original soundtrack of the movie Aquamarine and the ConGRADulations Class of 2006 Compilation CD, but the track was taken off from Aquamarine's soundtrack on the iTunes store.

Promotion and touring

On November 5, 2005, Jonas Brothers had their first tour, the Jonas Brothers Fall 2005 Promo Tour to promote this album. [4] The tour lasted through December 17, 2005, with the band being the surprise opening act for the Cheetah Girls' Cheetah-licious Christmas Tour.

A second tour, Jonas Brothers American Club Tour, was held to promote this album as well. [5] The tour was held mainly in clubs, and they sang for very small crowds, since the band was less-known back then. The tour started on January 28th, 2006 and ended on March 3th, 2006 for a total of 28 shows.

"Year 3000" is the only song from It's About Time the band still performs live. On the Jonas Brothers' Look Me In The Eyes Tour, they remade and performed their song Underdog. It is not on the new album.
