The Other Half, formed in 2005, is a Canadian-American rock band fronted by Leslie Carter (vocals). The group is rounded out by Jason Eldon (guitar), Mike Ashton (drums), Sean Smit (bass guitar).
History
After Leslie Carters debut album was cancelled by Dreamworks Records, she moved to Toronto, Canada to write and record songs with songwriter Dave Thompson. The collaboration with Thompson and other auditioned artists evolved into a group more fitting of a band than a Leslie Carter solo project. The initial line-up consisted of Thompson (lead guitar), Casey Clowater (rhythm guitar), Paul Davidson (bass guitar), Mike Ashton (drums), and DJ Porter (keys).
