Depending on what point of view you wish to take, the Souths Logan club is either Souths Magpies under a new name, or a whole new club since Souths' takeover of Logan in late [[2002]].
Formed in 1919 as Carltons, the club changed it's name to Southern Suburbs in 1933. Southern Suburbs Magpies merged with Logan City Scorpions in 2004. The club plays it's home games at Davies Park in the suburb of West End.

Formed in 1919 as Carltons, the club changed it's name to Southern Suburbs in [[1933]] with the advent of the BRL's District Football. In 2002 there was talk of a possible merger between Souths and the Logan City Scorpions, however this turned out to be a takeover, and the new team became known as the Souths Logan Magpies, and played their first season under the Souths Logan name in 2003. In that first season the club shared its games between Souths' Davies Park ground and Logan's Meakin Park, Slacks Creek, but since [[2004]] all games have been played at Davies Park.

The team combined the Black and White of Souths with the Blue and Gold of Logan, and the Green of the Canberra Raiders.

The Souths-Logan Magpies are a Rugby League club that is based at Davies Park in Brisbane's West End.
