Where I live in Surrey BC, grade 8 is the first grade in secondary "high" schools, well atlest at my school, I do think it's different around Canada. The page should be changed to show that. Windscar77 00:07, 19 November 2006 (UTC)

"and many other nations"?
From what is featured in the article it would seem that only one other nation, Canada, uses the term 'eighth grade'. Should this not be removed from the article's first line?86.16.139.140 (talk) 22:11, 3 September 2008 (UTC)

70.17.206.250's edit to this article

Can anyone check to see whether 70.17.206.250's edit is currently correct?? Georgia guy 21:18, 15 Feb 2005 (UTC)

 • While a survey of the grade designations and divisions of the 50 states would be valuable, it is not currently readily available afaik. The assessment by the anon reflects my understanding as well. I do not think the article (or those of the other grades) would be improved by an exhaustive list of how the grade is designated and organized in each state. - Keith D.
