Date of marriage
I have a question that I am still trying to find the answer to after reading this article. It comes from the date of their marriage. The article currently reads "For years Toni Tennille's birth year was erroneously publicized as being 1943, as was their marriage date which is November 11, 1975 at The Silver Queen Saloon Wedding Chapel in Virginia City, Nevada. The wrong date was erroneously publicized as February 14, 1975." My question is how the date could be published in February 1975 as being in November 1975. Mushrom 22:14, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
- I'm confused about that as well, because XM 80s on 8 just ran the AT40 countdown for 2/16/80 and with "Do That To Me One More Time" hitting #1 that week, Casey Kasem mentioned it as a "happy anniversary" present because he claimed on the air they were married on Valentine's day, though he said "6" years ago which would put the date to 1974 at that count. - Update: The accurate date of their marriage was published by Toni on her new blog at http://captainandtennille.net/tonis-take_blog_01.htm, along with the explanation for both that PR decision and the decision of her age (she took "three years off", passing herself as 32 instead of her real 35). Intro blurb
What does "a repertoire of mostly sophisticated hit songs" mean? Is 'sophisticated' a genre of music? If not it should be changed, since sophisticated is obviously in the eye of the beholder. Epthorn 14:30, 3 November 2007 (UTC)

Casablanca
The statement that when Neil Bogart died Casablanca went bankrupt is incorrect.
European Phonogram/Polygram purchased a 50% stake in Casablanca in the late 70's. Polygram managed to get Bogart to leave because they weren't happy with the way he did business and thought the label was underperforming. He went on from there to found Boardwalk. Casablanca was shut down in 1984. Bogart died of cancer in 1982. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.26.139.217 (talk) 21:49, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
Blanking
I've blanked the current article pending sourcing. I've removed the associated legal threats from this talk page as well. Kuru talk 01:19, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
- This is the wrong way to handle the situation and you know it. Stop blanking and discuss the issues properly here.RaseaC (talk) 01:31, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
- I know no such thing. The article seems to contain significant amounts biographical information and there appears to be some sort of odd, undisclosed dispute over the content. The simple solution is to tag it as 'needing sources' and wait for a quick response. As the article was tagged in just such a way back in November and no such sources were provided, it really does not bother me to remove the content.
- Recognizing that this is just as lazy a solution as 'tagging' something and moving on, I'm trying to source the existing material; including an early history section that was actually deleted several days ago. It would be nice to see some of the people who are actually versed in the topic assist. Kuru talk 20:22, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
- I have no interest in the subject and so have absolutely no intention of lending any help whatsoever to editing the article. What I do take an interest in is people acting inappropriately and simply deleting an entire atricle is just that, inappropriate. Well done on addressing the problem though, keep up the good work.
