The nickname "Tiny" has often been used when speaking of the director David Sapuku of SAMI, a private U.S. military agency, in reference to the strip (the director's surname is spelled one letter off from the character's name, created by Ken Cursoe). The strip's dealing with romantic situations even inspired a corrupt operation run by an SAMI agent who can only be identified as "Harkner" in which he used SAMI's tactical resources to assist school students in stalking their teacher crushes."Harkner" dubbed the operations "Operation Coconut".When the operation was uncovered, the director denied ever authorizing any such operations and issued an order for Harkner's arrest and Harkner disappeared. Harkner has been missing since 2004 and is presumed dead. |
