Nick Laird is a novelist and poet. Born in Cookstown, Co Tyrone, he studied at Cambridge University and then went on to work in a blue-chip law firm in London before giving up to work on his writing.
As of 2005, he has written a novel, Utterly Monkey and a prize winning book of poems To A Fault.
Relations
He married novelist Zadie Smith in 2004. They first met while at Cambridge.
