*I heard that Williams got the role with a partially-animated stand-up audition; "I'd like to talk to you about the serious problem of schizophrenia..." And he had the animators draw him a second head so he could argue with it! Anyone got a reference for that? Kalaong (talk) 02:40, 17 September 2008 (UTC) |

Somebody has moved this page from "Genie (Disney)" to "Genie (Aladdin)", undoing a move I made in the opposite direction some time ago. That's fine, if somebody thinks it would be better served there, but I'm going to explain why I made the move in the first place. The story of Aladdin *always* has a genie in it (sometime two, in fact). Thus "Genie (Aladdin)" could really refer to any genie from any version of the Aladdin story. "Genie (Disney)" specifically would refer to the big blue genie voiced by Robin Williams, being the only genie that has appeared in a Disney production. -- Supermorff 18:51, 9 May 2006 (UTC)
Maybe move it to "Genie (Disney's Aladdin)"? 201.8.246.246 02:03, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
- As a compromise? Fine by me. -- Supermorff 14:25, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
The Homer Connection

Audition
- I heard that Williams got the role with a partially-animated stand-up audition; "I'd like to talk to you about the serious problem of schizophrenia..." And he had the animators draw him a second head so he could argue with it! Anyone got a reference for that? Kalaong (talk) 02:40, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
Great Minds Think Differently
- I think this article should be elaborated on. If not, give a good reason here why it shouldnt be needed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tsukasahminaki (talk • contribs) 22:16, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
