Andreas Horvath (born 25 August 1968 in Salzburg, Austria) is a photographer and filmmaker. He studied photography at the "Graphische Bundes- Lehr- und Versuchsanstalt" in Vienna (1990-1992) and film at the Multimedia Art School "Techno-Z" in Salzburg (1996-2000).
His photo albums include Cowboys and Indians (1993), Yakutia - Siberia of Siberia (2003) and Heartlands - Sketches of Rural America (2007).
His filmography includes the documentaries Poroerotus (AT, 1999), The Silence of Green (AT, 2002), This ain´t no Heartland (AT, 2004) and Views of a Retired Night Porter (AT, 2005). His films won first prizes at festivals like the Chicago International Documentary Festival and the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.
In the years 2007 and 2008 Andreas Horvath directed four music videos for the British singer and songwriter Sarah Nixey.
