Sansanosmilus (pronounced - San-San-Oh-SMILE-Uss) is a genus of a Nimravidae family (also known as Paleofelids) belonging to subfamily Barbourofelidae. It lived from Middle to Upper Miocene in Europe, Asia and North America. It had short legs, it was very muscular and had a long tail. It was 1.5 m long and probably its weight was 80 kg.

Sansanosmilus jourdani - which lived in Astaracian and Vallesian stage in Spain, Germany and France
Sansanosmilus jourdani vallesiensis - which lived in Vallesian stage in Spain
