.hack//sign (pronounced dot hack sign) is the first in the .hack seiries. It is a show about a massive multiplayer online role playing virtural reality game world called 'the world'.
The show focases on Tsukasa, (pronounced sue-kaw-sa) a young wavemaster (spellcaster) who is unable to log out of the computer game-world for some strange reason. Some other people in the game try to help him, such as Mimiru, Bear, Subaru, Crim, (or krim) and BT. Tsukasa on the other hand is one of those people that likes to keep to themselves, almost never talks to anybody, and doesn't expect people to care about him. Therefore, it takes 13 episodes for him to gain trust in Mimiru and Bear and 15 episodes for him to trust Subaru. He never really gets to know Crim Or BT. Mirmiru and the others think that a secret item called 'The Key Of The Twilight' will enable Tsukasa to log out. little do they know that Tsukasa had foud 'The Key Of The Twilight' in episode 2. In the end, having a hacker named Helba delete the feild that The Key was hidden in really helped Tsukasa to log out.
The show is 25 or 26 episodes long with a few extra episodes on the dvd set.
The show, for the first part, is mostly talking and that will be boring to those of you with short attention spands. After episode about 4 things start to liven up. By episode 19, Things really get fast paced, What with Morgana, the evil 'voice' that trapped Tsukasa in the first place attacking him, The Key being moved so that the evil one can draw power from it, an old man reviling the secret of The Key, and morgana making her finale move. If you ever whatch this show, good luck to you.
